Refund Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-08
1. Overview
This Refund Policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for paid subscriptions to Ordaily, an AI-powered executive assistant operated by Ordaily (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2026/475666/07 (“Ordaily”, “we”, “us”), a company incorporated in South Africa. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service. Where this policy and the Terms differ on refunds, this policy governs.
2. Cancelling your subscription
- You may cancel at any time from the Billing section of your dashboard, or by emailing help@ordaily.ai.
- Cancellation stops future renewals. It takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then.
- Cancelling on its own does not trigger a refund of the current period — see the plan-specific sections below.
3. Monthly subscriptions
- Monthly plans are billed in advance for each one-month period.
- The unused portion of the current month is not automatically refunded; instead, cancelling ends billing at the close of that month.
- If something has gone wrong — for example a technical fault that prevented you from using the service, or a genuine billing error — contact us and we will consider a full or partial refund on a case-by-case basis.
4. Annual subscriptions
- Annual plans are billed in advance for a twelve-month period at the discounted annual rate.
- You may request a full refund within 14 days of the initial annual payment (the “cooling-off window”).
- After the 14-day window, annual subscriptions are non-refundable for the remainder of the term, although you may still cancel to prevent the next annual renewal.
- Refunds are not available for renewals of an annual plan once the new term has begun, except where required by law or agreed by us in writing.
5. Upgrades, downgrades and preview accounts
- Tier changes (upgrade or downgrade) are prorated against your current period rather than refunded separately.
- Free preview accounts involve no payment and so are not subject to refunds.
6. How to request a refund
Email help@ordaily.ai from the address on your account, with:
- the email address or account the subscription is billed under;
- whether you are on a monthly or annual plan; and
- a short reason for the request.
We aim to acknowledge refund requests within 3 business days and to resolve them within 14 business days.
7. How refunds are issued
Approved refunds are made to the original payment method through the payment provider that processed your subscription. Some payments are processed by a third-party payment provider acting as merchant of record; where that is the case, the refund is issued through that provider and their processing times apply. Card refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days of approval, depending on your bank.
8. When refunds are not available
- Where an account is suspended or terminated for a serious breach of the Terms, fraud, or abuse, fees already paid are non-refundable.
- Beyond the annual cooling-off window described in section 4.
- For charges you have already been refunded or successfully disputed.
9. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have that cannot be excluded under South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002. Where those laws give you a stronger right to a refund or cancellation than this policy, that right applies.
10. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first at help@ordaily.ai — we can usually resolve it faster than a bank dispute. Raising a chargeback without contacting us may lead to suspension of the account while the dispute is investigated.
