AI assistant for attorneys and lawyers
Last updated
Ordaily is your PA in WhatsApp, built with AI, for attorneys and lawyers: while you are in court or in consultation it flags urgent client email, drafts replies for you to check, keeps your diary and deadline reminders, and sends nothing until you say yes. A whole PA for about R1,000 a month, in WhatsApp. It isn’t an AI agent that acts for you: it gathers the admin, organises it and helps you deal with it, and you decide what goes out.
Correspondence, deadlines and the court roll
A practice runs on dates and letters: a matter on the roll, a plea due, a consultation moved, a letter from the other side that needs a careful answer, a client asking for an update for the third time this week.
Much of it arrives while you are in court or in consultation, when you cannot read it, and answering it eats into the time you would rather spend on the matters themselves.
Ordaily keeps the correspondence and the diary moving from WhatsApp, and every email it drafts is one you have read before it goes.
A morning with Ordaily
- 1The day on one screen
Before you leave for court, the briefing lists a consultation at 9, a matter at 11, an urgent email from the opposing attorneys, and your reminder that a plea is due on Friday.
- 2Leaving court
On the steps you send a voice note: “Reply to Mr Pillay. We have received the settlement proposal, and I will call him on Thursday to discuss it.”
- 3Every word checked
Ordaily drafts the reply in your style and shows the full text on a confirm card. In legal correspondence the wording matters, so you read it before anything goes.
- 4Sent from your address
You say yes and it leaves your own Gmail, with 30 seconds to undo.
Illustrative; not a real account.
What Ordaily does for attorneys and lawyers
A WhatsApp alert when a client or the other side sends an email marked urgent, and an inbox sorted into urgent, priority and follow-up.
Replies drafted in your voice and shown in full before they go, so nothing reaches a client or another firm without your yes.
Book, move and cancel consultations in Google Calendar with invites, and a Google Meet link when the consultation is online.
Reminders for the dates you give it, such as a plea, a filing or a return date, one-off or repeating, set by voice note.
Forward an email with its attachments, for example to a colleague or to counsel, by asking in WhatsApp. It goes on your yes.
Standard covers two Gmail mailboxes, so a practice address and your own can both be in the briefing.
Your consultations, the matters in your diary, the emails that need you and your reminders, every morning as text, a voice note or a PDF.
Ask it the way you would ask a PA
You ask, it drafts, you say yes, it sends. Your own reminders and to-dos are set straight away.
“Email the sheriff’s office and ask whether the summons in the Botha matter has been served.”
It drafts the email; you read it and say yes; it goes from your Gmail.
“Move my 3pm consultation with the Dlamini family to Thursday.”
It moves the consultation in Google Calendar and sends the new invite once you say yes.
“Remind me on Friday to file the plea in the Botha matter.”
No card to approve: a reminder for yourself is set immediately.
What Ordaily doesn’t do
- It doesn’t connect to practice-management, legal accounting or trust-account software. It works from your Gmail and Google Calendar.
- It doesn’t work out deadlines. It reminds you of the dates you give it; calculating court days and time limits stays with you.
- It doesn’t do legal research, give legal advice, or draft pleadings, contracts or other legal documents.
- It doesn’t answer phone calls or take messages from clients.
- It doesn’t read the documents you send it yet; reading photos and PDFs is coming soon.
- Outlook and Microsoft Calendar are coming soon, so for now it needs Gmail and Google Calendar.

What it costs
A whole PA for about R1,000 a month, in WhatsApp. Ordaily costs about R1,000 a month: Standard is R999 a month in early access, locked for 12 months, then R1,500 a month, and you can cancel any time. By comparison, a human PA in South Africa costs about R15,000–R33,000 a month (sources below). The full comparison: PA or AI assistant? The real cost in South Africa.
